Xos has developed a mobile charging station for electric vehicles

The company Xos, which develops electric vehicle fleets in Los Angeles, has introduced a mobile charging station called Xos Hub, with which carriers can switch to electric transport without waiting for the construction of the necessary infrastructure facilities. Xos-formerly known as Thor Trucks-produces all-electric commercial vehicles from Class 5 to Class 8. The company has developed a mobile charging station to make it easier for carriers to switch to operating a fleet of electric vehicles.
The Xos Hub project is being launched as part of a new division of Xos Energy Solutions, a kind of universal center for the electrification of commercial fleets, with an integrated “infrastructure as a service on demand” approach called Xos Serve, which includes the assessment of placements, the development of energy storage systems and energy management.ARCHIVE The mobile charging station operates in the fast charging mode.
The station is housed in a standard 18-wheeler van and can be quickly deployed anywhere where there is parking for cars, taking up approximately two parking spaces. The built-in battery is capable of charging up to five cars simultaneously via CCS1 connectors. In between recharges, the built-in battery can be slowly recharged from the local network. Xos claims that the mobile station can be integrated into an existing power supply system without special permits or additional construction costs. The solar battery on the roof can also be connected to the charging system, although it is primarily intended to power cloud management and security systems.
