Futuristic ekranoplan of the future

The design studio RDC Aqualines has presented an innovative model of an ekranoplan, which can provide fast and environmentally friendly sea transport in the future. An ekranoplan is a type of vehicle that combines the advantages of an airplane and a water vessel. It moves at a low height above the water surface. The wings of a vehicle flying over water, at a distance equal to about half the length of the wing, create more lift than when flying at a higher altitude. This is the design chosen by the international studio RDC Aqualines, which recently introduced a model called Aqua.
Aqua is a 22-meter ekranoplane that can quickly transport 12 passengers or a fairly significant cargo. The model reaches a maximum speed of 200 km / h, combining the advantages of a hybrid electric motor with hydrogen. The ship is equipped with a 600 hp engine, which gives it a maximum range of 600 km at full load. The company said that the ekranoplan will be available for sale in 2024. RDC Aqualines expects great interest among commercial carriers and aviation services.
