Apple is in trouble again – it’s serious
Apple will appear in court again. This time, the charges relate to their digital assistant-Siri. The reason for the claim is that Siri eavesdrops and records user conversations, even when the program is not activated.
It is well known that the Google Assistant responds to the “OK Google” command, even if the application has not gained access to the microphone. A message appeared that you need to grant the application permissions to use the microphone and speaker. How, however, will the assistant know about this if he cannot hear the command without permission?
It turns out that Siri behaves in a similar way. The virtual assistant usually responds to the use of certain words. In this case, it is “Hello, Siri”. However, it turns out that the application can record the user’s calls without his knowledge and consent. In this regard, a lawsuit was filed against Apple. The plaintiff is trying to prove his point by quoting a story that he talked to a doctor about a specific medical decision, and a few moments later he was shown an advertisement about it, as well as Air Jordan sneakers and Pit Viper sunglasses.
