An American billionaire intends to build a fantastic city of the future

Businessman Mark Lohr, who became famous for selling his e-commerce platform Jet.com Walmart for $3.3 billion, announced a project to create a paradise city. He insists that the idea is devoid of utopian ideas and is thoroughly pragmatic, and it is based on the principles of caring for the environment and progress. The future city has already received the name “Telosa”. Mark wants to build capitalism without its inherent shortcomings, something that the founding fathers of the United States dreamed of and emigrants from Europe tried to implement in some settlements. It all comes down to owning land, which becomes more expensive as the city that stands on it grows. This allows land owners to make huge profits and influence the life of the settlement without making any special efforts, which creates a huge inequality between them and other residents.
In Telosa, everything will be different, the purchased plot of land with an area of 150,000 acres will be managed by the city fund, which will lease the land and distribute the profits from it for city needs. At the first stage, costs are planned at the level of $25 billion, 50,000 people will settle in the city, but in a few years the population will grow to 5 million, and the city budget will exceed $400 billion.
All buildings in Telosa are energy-efficient, with solar panels, water collection systems and passive air conditioning. Slow-moving electric cars and bicycles will drive along the streets, and an air taxi is used for fast movements. The city will be saturated with advanced technologies, automated with the latest technology and exist on self-sufficiency. Its project is being developed by the Bjarke Ingels Group, construction will begin in 2030.
