Drive a car with a thought! New Mercedes technology
The German automaker is working on a technology that will allow driving a car with the help of thought in the future. Its capabilities were presented at the IAA Mobility 2021 exhibition in Munich.
The Mercedes VISION AVTR demonstrates a completely new interaction between man and machine.
The real shock was the technology that allows us to control the functions of the car using only our thoughts. We are talking about a specially designed device consisting of electrodes that are placed on the back of the user’s head and read the user’s brain waves. Thus, a virtual interface is born between the brain and the car computer. The aforementioned digital dashboard displays graphical elements that are assigned the corresponding functions of the car. Focusing on them affects the activity of brain neurons, reading which allows you to remotely activate the corresponding option in the car.
