The electric scooter transformer Blizwheel can be folded to the size of a small box

Four years ago, the Californian company Blizwheel impressed the Kickstarter crowdfunding platform with a pair of electric ESkates transformer skates, which, if necessary, can be folded to the size of a small box. Now a folding electric scooter is attached to the ESkates.
The basic version of the Blizwheel has a 200-watt engine on each wheel, develops speeds of up to 20 kilometers per hour, but provides a fairly small mileage from a single charge – only 13 kilometers. Also available is the Pro model with 300 watt engines, delivering speeds of up to 24 kilometers per hour and a mileage of 24 kilometers.
An important feature of the design is the folding mechanism, thanks to which the scooter is reduced to 396 x 162.5 x 99 millimeters and easily fits in hand luggage or a small backpack. The basic version weighs 3.9 kilograms, and the Pro version weighs 5.4 kg. A small handle allows you to carry the device in your hand, and if the electric scooter is partially folded, then you can hold it behind the steering wheel and roll it on the front wheel on the floor in a building or sidewalk on the street. The frame is made of aviation aluminum. Small in diameter, but wide wheels provide a ground clearance of 58 mm in the basic version and 82 mm in the Pro version, and a special polyurethane suspension helps smooth out small road bumps without the use of powerful springs.
In the upper part of the telescopic steering wheel there is a digital dashboard on which you can see information about the trip and the battery status. Braking is provided by both the engine and mechanical brakes. There are also turn indicators, front and rear lights.
The Kickstarter project reports that the base model will cost from $299. The price for the airline-compliant version starts at $479. For the Pro version, you will need to pay at least $ 499. If the crowdfunding campaign goes according to plan, sales will begin in May 2022.
