The world’s first energy island is being created. This is a real eco-revolution

This small country is creating huge renewable energy projects that inspire the whole world. Denmark will now be enlarged by the world’s first energy island in the North Sea and several paradise islands in the Baltic Sea.
Recently it became known that Denmark will build 9 artificial islands to become an ecological paradise on Earth, and now we are hearing about the construction of the world’s first energy island. This first project will be implemented primarily for citizens and tourists.
9 artificial islands should have an area of up to 3 million square meters. Each of them will have its own theme. They should become a phenomenal place of recreation and entertainment on a global scale for nature enthusiasts and a place designed to develop infrastructure for generating energy from renewable sources. Green Islands will be built 10 km south of Copenhagen.Meanwhile, an energy island will be built in the waters of the North Sea. It can be seen from the submitted plans that the construction will be carried out approximately 80 km from the Jutland peninsula. Work may begin as early as early 2023. The government wants to build green hydrogen production plants and energy storage systems for wind, tidal and photovoltaic farms there.
For a good start, the island offers 3 GW of wind power, but eventually it can reach 10 GW. From it, completely green energy will flow not only to Denmark itself, but also to various European countries. The country wants to become the world’s largest supplier of clean energy. The government expects that the artificial islands themselves and the energy storage technologies installed on them will reduce annual CO2 emissions into the atmosphere by as much as 140,000 tons and at the same time lead to the production of 600,000 MWh of clean energy. , which can power up to half of Copenhagen, the country’s capital.
