The world’s largest aquarium is being built in Abu Dhabi

A huge marine park, the construction of which is in the final stages in the United Arab Emirates, will invite visitors to enjoy the world’s largest indoor aquarium next year. SeaWorld Abu Dhabi will be home to tens of thousands of marine species on five levels, together with a special research center that will deal with their conservation. After completion of construction at the Yas Island Tourism and Recreation Center, SeaWorld Abu Dhabi will occupy 183,000 sq. m. meters on five floors.
Among the entertainment there will be interactive exhibits, an exciting attraction with a detailed description of the visual journey from the North to the South Pole, as well as the largest aquarium in the world. Filled with 25 million liters of water, the aquarium will be home to 68,000 marine animals, including sharks, fish, manta rays and sea turtles. It will be possible to enjoy contemplation through a vertical window 20 meters high, extending over several floors, so grandiose that it was even given its own name – “Endless Expanse”.
The SeaWorld Research and Rescue Center will be located next to the park, which will become the first specialized center for marine research, rescue and rehabilitation in the United Arab Emirates. Here visitors will be able to get acquainted with the work of resident scientists and take part in educational programs dedicated to animals living in the ocean.Currently, a steel structure has been completed for SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, and the overall construction progress is 64 percent complete. It is expected that the work will be completed in 2022.
