In Canada, the construction of an unusual house in the form of a Jenga tower has been launched.

The unusual architectural project Fifteen Fifteen from the studio Byro Ole Scheeren is entering the implementation phase. Presented back in 2017, a block high-rise began to be built in Vancouver. The building has 42 floors planned, although the exact height is still unknown. The main feature is the large console sections, as if protruding beyond the rest of the building and resembling blocks in the famous game Jenga.
The building is planned to accommodate 202 apartments, from one-bedroom studios to 3-room apartments, as well as “observatory residences” with a magnificent view from inside those very protruding blocks. A common hall will occupy one console, and elite penthouses will be located on the upper floors. Inside, all floors will be decorated with wooden floors and ceilings, panoramic windows and modern appliances.
“My vision for Fifteen Fifteen is to create a connection between nature, urban life and personal space,” says architect Ole Scheren. – Too often architecture is designed separately from interiors and decorative finishes that have nothing to do with the building itself. In Fifteen Fifteen we will create unity between them and the concept of three-dimensional life with the city and nature.”
Prices for studio apartments start from 900,000 Canadian dollars, which is approximately equal to 1.1 million US dollars. The project is scheduled to be commissioned in 2026.
