Arcimoto starts accepting pre-orders for an unusual MLM pedal electric bike

For Arcimoto, based in Eugene, Oregon, last week was marked by the presentation of two new products at once — the D1 delivery drone car and an electric bike with a pedal wire (e-trike), codenamed Mean Lean Machine (MLM).
Its main feature is Arcimoto’s patented tilt technology, which allows you to make bends on turns, like a regular motorcycle. Details about all the know-how of the unusual electric bike are still unknown.
However, it is known that the company aims to bring its mileage to more than 320 km due to additional batteries. At the same time, each wheel will benefit from its own electric motor — by rotating the pedals, the rider will feed the generator.
There is a shock-absorbing spring in the back of the electric bike, and the battery, apparently, is placed in front. MLM supports fast charging. At the moment, the device is single, but it is possible that in the future it will have a passenger seat.
The company plans to use MLM as an exercise bike. Arcimoto has already announced the acceptance of pre-orders, for which it is necessary to make a refundable deposit of $ 100.
