DirtySixer has unveiled the world’s largest electric bike

The idea to create bicycles for people of great stature came to the American David Folch during an unsuccessful cycling trip, when he received several fractures and bruises. And it’s not that he turned out to be a bad “rider”, but David’s height is 198 cm, while the bike on which he took a walk was designed for people of average height.
Soon he founded and headed the DirtySixer company, where non-standard bicycles are created. The latest model developed by Folch has the right to claim the title of the largest electric bike.
eDirtySixer is equipped with a frame made of aluminum alloy 6061, organically combined with 36-inch (91.4 cm) wheels. The electric filling is represented by a 250-watt motor in the lower bracket of the Shimano STEPS e8000, which complements the rotational forces, powered by a lithium battery with a capacity of 500 Wh.By the combined efforts of the rider and the engine, it is possible to reach a speed of 32 km / h, while the battery charge is enough for a 97-kilometer run. According to Folch, the next prototype will be equipped with a Bosch drive, followed by a version with the Valeo Smart e-Bike system with a 48-volt engine and a seven-speed adaptive gearbox.
The picture will be incomplete without mentioning hydraulic disc brakes, seatpost with shock absorber, Nextie carbon discs, Rohloff XXL 14-speed rear hub transmission and Gates carbon transmission.
An electric bike can be purchased for $ 8000. Deliveries will begin in the middle of next year.
